Alice Fitzgerald & David Nation
Alice and David are a writing duo. They met at Exeter University in 2012, where their collaboration first began in a director & actor capacity. Over the years, they discovered their shared sense of humour, style, and tone of storytelling, which led them to begin working together formally as writers. They’re interested in exploring unique and underrepresented narratives, interweaving comedy and light with life’s darker moments.
Alice is a writer/director of British and Irish heritage. She was nominated for Best Director at the 2022 Stage Debut Awards for her work on Purple Snowflakes and Titty Wanks, a co-production between the Royal Court & Abbey Theatre. Recently, Alice co-ran Sheffield Theatres’ 2024 New Dramaturgs’ Group.
David Nation is a queer, working class writer/actor from Clacton on Sea, Essex. He trained on the MA Acting course at Mountview, which is where he began his writing journey. In 2021 he was selected to be a part of the Soho Theatre Writers’ Lab programme.
